about

Jessica Alexandra North (b. 1993) is a Finnish-British visual artist and philosophy student currently living and working in Helsinki. Her works are visual thoughts and visions, expressed through the mediums of moving image, film photography and textile art. She also works as a visualist, using objects and space as a canvas.

Her work is often inspired by symbolism, and notions of time: in retrospect and in visions of the future; by romanticism, by unruly gardens of flowers, and stories of the past; folk beliefs and mysticism.

She is drawn to the beyond-rational, to loveable chaos, and to that of the senses;
